When Denise spotted this modern orangery design with its light and airy lantern roof, she dared to dream it could be part of the extension she and her family planned for their home.
A big thank-you to Eddy and his team for making our dream orangery a reality and I would have no hesitation in using Leesfield in the future.
Leesfield Developments Limited never set out to make dreams come true. But that is exactly what it did for Royton resident Denise Freer who had experienced an exasperating search in her quest for the perfect conservatory. As soon as she set foot in the Shaw Road HQ, in Derker, which also serves as a state-of-the-art showroom, she saw her heart’s desire. Newly built to house the admin hub of this growing family business, the Leesfield Developments Limited showroom is a living, breathing example of the high-quality products and craftsmanship the business offers.
When Denise spotted its modern orangery design with its light and airy lantern roof, she dared to dream it could be part of the extension she and her family planned for their home. After months of approaching much bigger firms, she had been told time after time they couldn’t cater for her specific requirements.
But seconds after stepping through the door at Leesfield Developments Limited, joint owner and contracts manager Eddy Benedek said he could grant her wish, “no problem.” Weeks later, Denise’s home has been transformed by Eddy and his team who have created her “favourite room in the house” and built on a stylish decking area to give the Freer family the perfect place to dine, entertain and — most of all — enjoy.
She said: “When I approached the bigger firms to get a quote for a new orangery, the prices were so high that the representatives were trying to get us to by what they wanted to build, i.e. some version of a conservatory for less money, which in no way bore any resemblance to what we actually wanted.
“From the outset, Eddy asked what WE wanted, listened to our ideas and made practical suggestions to enhance our vision; and what he has achieved is exactly what we had imagined and more for the budget we had in mind. “It is great dealing with a family-run firm with Eddy at the helm and Vicky and Chelsea in the new showroom always available to help.
“We made a few adjustments and enhancements as we went along, which Eddy was amenable to all the way through, in fact, making suggestions of his own to help make our dream orangery become a reality. “It has given us an extra living area which we can use all year round.
As we now have two growing teenagers in the house we don’t all have to be in the same living room all the time. “Eddy suggested bi-fold doors which on sunny, warm days can be opened out to let the outside in, which has made a massive difference, and I am looking forward to family barbecues during the summer.
“It is always difficult having builders in and living in a building site for weeks on end, but Eddy made the three months it took as easy on us as possible by being available when needed, extremely approachable and project managing it from start to finish.
“A big thank-you to Eddy and his team for making our dream orangery a reality and I would have no hesitation in using Leesfield in the future… Eddy, however, may feel differently!” Eddy, who has over 30 years’ experience in the home improvement industry, said it had been very satisfying to fulfil the Free family’s vision.
“Denise came in to see us after reading about us in the Chronicle,” he said. “She’d been told she couldn’t have what she wanted by loads of other bigger firms because they are more rigid in what they offer and don’t cater for the individual’s needs and requirements.
“We specialise in that and are happy to offer our customers a very personal service and work with them on what they want. “She was absolutely over the moon that not only could we tailor-make an orangery for her property but also do it cheaper than other firms had quoted for similar work.”
